Investment Destination: Jharkhand

Well, from a long time I was willing to write about my state jharkhand. So, here I am with my first blog about Jharkhand.I have started with Investment in major sectors and soom will write on different fields like Politics,Education,Tourism etc.....

Jharkhand has always been an investment hot spot. In fact, poor logistics has never discouraged mega investors and industrial houses from setting up shops here. States like Gujarat,Maharastra and Karnataka may have an edge over it right now,but Jharkhand has the potential of becoming one of the most sought after destinations and boasts of having 100 houses expressing interest to invest.
The state can emerge as India’s steel hub if its Rehabilitation and Resettlement policy, allotment of land and renewal of lease are in order, producing 64 milion tones of the central government’s target of 110 million tones by 2020.With total investment figures crossing Rs 6,40,000 crore-mostly in steel, power and cement sectors-Jharkhand has a growth potential that can rival any other state in the country. While the UPA-led Madhu Koda government has decided to identify firms that are unwilling to establish themselves in the state, there are several steel and power companies waiting to sign MoUs with the government.
Officials said over the next 10 years, private investors are expected to to pump in Rs. 14,00,000 crore into the steel sector in Jharkhand, enriching the state’s offers by around Rs. 10,000-15,000 crore annually by way of royalities, sales taxes and cess. The different steel, power and cement plants are also likely to generate employment to nearly 20 lakhs people, directly and indirectly.
Chhotanagpur and santhal Parganas were deprived of large and small industries when they were part of Bihar, causing high- level unemployment. If all the proposed steel investments materialise, they would generate direct and indirect employment apart from triggering the setting up of ancillary industrial units and revival of ailing small-scale industries.
There are 11 companies waiting to sign MoUs with the Jharkhand government.Companies such as Gold Line industries,Brahmaputra Metal,Staco Power and Steel,Sino steel,Bhusan steel,Anil Industries,Hi-Tech Iron and Steel,Pawanjay Steel,Vini Iron and Vinayak Industries are waiting to sign MoUs while Ispat,Sarthak,Brahmi Impex,Ma Chandi Durga steel and Ranchi Ispat are awaiting renewal of their MoUs.Some companies such as Tata Steel,Jindal South West,Jindal Steel and Power,Adhunik,Abhijeet Infrastructure and SAIL have already begun their groundwork.
The industrial scenario in Jharkhand will take a new shape with the coming up of several modern townships, the plan of which have been taken up by the government. Setting up of new plants and capacity expansion by steel giants during the last two years has created a sense of economic security in Jharkhand.

I Did A Great Job......

I Did A Great Job….(Aug 21st ,2008)
There is a small slum near my colony. Most of the children who live in this slum don’t go to school. Some of them work in garage, shops or in the home of rich persons. Some of them got admission in the school but due to financial problem or due to careless of their parents, they left the study. They work for sometime and rest of the time they waste their time in just moving here and there. All those children belong to the Scheduled caste and Schedule tribes for whom government has given a lot of facilities and also reservation in all government sector. All we know that there is a huge talent gap among lower class, middle class and higher class of our society…..and I think, education is the key.

As a good citizen of our country,I also take care of my society where I live.Somehow a thought came into my mind that if I can motivate those children for going to school then perhaps in coming future their life style can change. So one day I called three children and asked why they don’t go to school. They told me that their parents don’t care of them.I told them about the different facilities and reservation government is providing to them.I also made them understand that how Education can change their life. All they three agreed for going to school.I told them tomorrow that is on 20th August we will go to meet principal regarding their admission.

Next day I saw that not only three but seven children reached at my home at around 10.30 am.Other four children also wanted to go to school.I reached at the government school with those children at about 11 am.I met to the principal and told him my purpose of going there.Principal was not ready to take their admission due to various reasons. Then I gave my introduction to him and also told him about my maternal uncle Mr. Kanhai and Mr. Suresh who are famous personalities in my city.Principal told me that he has good interaction with them and finally he agreed to take their admission.Principal had to go somewhere so he requested me to come on next day.He also told me that he want to talk to parents of those children so if possible then come with their parents.

Next day ten children reached at my home.other three children also wanted to go to school.I told all the children to come with their parents. But at that time parents of most of the children were not at home.So only two parents came with us.We reached at school at about 11.45 am.Principal told parents that he is giving admission to all the children, but make sure that they don’t absent the class.Principal told the same thing to all the children. All the children promised that they will never absent the class. Some of the children used to study in that school so they didn’t need fresh admission, only their admission was renewed.Other children got fresh admission there. After their admission I said thanks to principal sir and to madam who took their admission.

Out of ten children viz. Shashi, soma, aman, Raja, Tinku, Bachchan, Anup,Monika,Bajrang and Rekha, four children took admission in standard IV,Four took admission in standard II and two took admission in standard I.Among these children raja sings very well and grasp any song very quickly. He is very cute.He took admission in standard I.

What I did gave me a great satisfaction.I consider it as one of my astounding achievement.Perhaps, what I did may not prove to be the oasis in the desert but I am sure that by getting education those children can at least create harmony in their family and society. As an individual if we can enable one other individual to learn, one other individual to participate in this opportunity,we can create a world where through education,we can create equality and create more opportunities for everyone. This may be a way for us to contribute back to the society.

One Evening At Blind School......

One Evening At Blind School(August 14th 2008)
Often we blame to god if u don’t get anything that we desire.Me also sometimes blame to god for my desires that I don’t get. But,today it changed after visiting a Blind school which is not too far from my home.

Actualy,Today I didn’t have any planning to visit Blind School. When I came back from Pahari Mandir in afternoon then one of cousin brother Vijay told me that he is going to join a job of flight steward so he needs passport in a week. For getting passport through Tatkal he needs some documents from the court. So,he requested me to go with him.I went with him and completed the task.It was about 5.30 when we were returning to our home.He told me that he has to meet one of his friend who also do classes in Frankfinn with him.he got a call from his friend, she told that she will come at St. Paul’s church at 6 pm.Near the church there is a blind school so I told to my cousin that we can spend some time with the students of Blind school. So our bike started moving towards Blind School.

Both of us reached there at about 5.40.We saw that all those blind students are busy in different activities. But what amazed me most is their cricket playing. Some of the childrens were playing cricket,so I just sat there and started watching their game without disturbing anyone. You might think that how blind persons can play cricket? But,yes they can play the cricket and their cricket is a little bit different from our cricket.Inside the ball, there is something like small pieces of stones that can make sounds when ball moves.Their wickets are made of steels so whenever ball touches the wicket it makes sound of steel so people can easily know that batsman is out.Watching their cricket game was really fantastic.

After some time their game was over so they started dispersing.Five childrens were coming together. We called them and they came near to us.I said Good Evening everyone. They said good evening to me. I told them that I enjoyed watching their cricket and asked them for their introduction. They started giving their introduction.Santosh,Raju,Prakash,Salim and Rajesh all were from different parts of our country. What is more interesting to me was that full name of prakash was same as that of me that is prakash kumar sahu.I immediately told them that my name is also prakash kumar sahu. All they started laughing and said what a coincident.

I talked to them about their lifes at that school. They told me a lot….like what they eat…what they study..what they play….what they do in extra time…..any many more. They also told me that thety are great fans of Dhoni and also love to listen to Himesh.I requested them to sing some of songs for us.They started with the song of Himesh and later on also sang other songs for us.Then I asked about their program for the Independence day. They told me that two of them are good singer and they have participated in the song competition. We had a national flag with us that we purchased when we were returning from the court. So I gave that national flag to them and asked whether they know the national anthem or not. They sang national song and we also participated in them. Now we had to go so We told them that we have some work so now we will go.They told us that it was really nice to talk with us and requested to us to visit again. When I was about to leave that place one of boy caught my hands and asked “bhaiya,do you have a mobile?”.I said yes then he said that he wanted to talk to his father. He told me the number of his father and I dialed that number for him. When I listened his conversation with his father…..It touched my heart. He was crying and requesting to his father that day after tomorrow there is RakshaBandhan so he want to meet his sisters at home and so requested his father to come to take him.

When I was returning to my home then I was thinking that why god has done all these things with those innocent childrens? They have not done anything bad with anyone.I was also thinking that when those childrens are not complaining to god about what he has done with them then what is our right of complaining to god for our desires.Atleast god has given us a wealthy body and a beautiful mind………………
